Pastor Jack shares how the hardest place to be thankful is in the middle a difficult experience. It is in these times we need to ask God to open our eyes to the blessings that He is bringing into our life. It will change how we live. Gratitude for today is the key that unlocks the door to heaven. . Pastor Jack shares this quote from Frank A. Clark, “If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.”

Pastor Jack explains that we will all face difficult and dark days. How we respond to those days is important. It is easy to get caught in the quick sand of despair and victimization. He teaches us that when you can’t see where God working today remember what He did yesterday. Gratitude for yesterday unlocks faith for today. Pastor Jack shares this quote from Jean Baptiste Massieu, “Gratitude is the memory of the heart.” Being thankful for what God has done makes us nicer people today. People who forget what God has done begin the slow slide into the world of whining.
