Southside Arms of Comfort
Serving The Families Of Those Who Serve

Our Mission

Southside Arms of Comfort exists to fulfill the calling of our Lord and Mission statement of
Southside Assembly of God by supporting our Military community and their families.

Our Purpose:
To Serve as God's Arms of Comfort to the Military and their Families in time Of Deployment and in times of Union. Isaiah 40:1 "Comfort, yes, comfort my people! "Says your God

Our Commitment:
To Serve and support the Families and Soldiers Who Sacrifice themselves to Serve our Great Nation John 15:13 Greater love has no man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends.

Our Mission:
To serve as a bridge to Christ for the military community, through the support of the local church body. We will provide a place of comfort to the military and their families through Fellowship and Practical Biblical teachings. We shall offer Problem Resolution and/or Referrals to proper agencies; we shall also offer Marital counseling by a licensed minister, Group peer Counseling, and Individual Counseling when necessary, along with Prayer and social opportunities.

  2. Sponsoring periodic dinners at the homes of leadership
  3. Encouraging small group gatherings
  4. Organizing outings with members and their families
  5. Organizing date nights with the couples once they are reunited
  6. Offering reintegration classes for couples after deployment
  • We connect people to the World
  1. By encouraging mature members to mentor the new members
  2. By encouraging members to attend and support other Church programs like Women's Ministry, Circle of Friends, Men's Ministry, and Children
  3. By encouraging members to start their own similar programs in future duty assignment locations.

Two are better than one,
Because they have good return for their work:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
But pity the man that falls and has no one to help him up.
