Lead Pastor
Jack & Denise Moon
Pastor Jack and Denise have served as Lead Pastors at Southside Assembly of God since 1989. They served, originally, as youth pastors at Southside, and then as Senior Pastors at First Assembly of God in Scottsboro, Alabama, before returning here to take the Lead Pastor position.
They have 4 children and 9 grandchildren who live in the area.

Phillip Ford
Associate Pastor
An Alabama native, Pastor Phillip Ford has dedicated over 40 years of his life to serving the Lord in ministry, 31 of which have been here in Savannah. His beginnings were as an Evangelist, Youth Pastor, and Youth and Music Pastor in the church and in the mission field.
For the last 13 years he has served as Senior pastor at Light Savannah. Pastor Phillip has an increasing passion for preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His love and compassion for people are reflected in his love for the local church as well as his global ministry in Haiti, Russia, China (Hong Kong), South Korea, India, South Africa, South America, Europe, United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
For Pastor Phill, family is paramount. One of his greatest joys is spending quality time with his parents, children Alexis and Nolen, and grandson, Billy.
Lindsey Smith
Student Ministry Pastor
Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Pastor Lindsey Smith has been in and around the ministry all her life. For the last seven years, she has served as Lead Youth Pastor and Operations Director for Light Savannah with Pastor Phillip Ford. Previously she served as a street evangelist and creative director, traveling both domestically and internationally, with the American Awakening and Evangelist Tommie Zito.
Lindsey’s passion is to not only lead people to Jesus but to train every member of the body to do the same. Her vision for student ministry is to see students who are filled with the Holy Spirit, students empowered and equipped to preach the gospel, and students awakened to the limitless power and authority that we have as believers.
Outside of ministry, Lindsey enjoys spending time with family, is a foodie, loves design and of course a good cup of coffee!
Jim & Elizabeth Smith
Prayer & Facilities Pastors
Pastor Jim and Elizabeth serve as leaders in our prayer ministry and oversee our facilities and maintenance. They have 3 children and 7 grandchildren who reside in their home state, Alaska.
